Policies
The terms that govern your use of this site and your trading account with Fresh Produce Purveyor Pty Ltd.
Last updated 27 August 2026
Terms of service
These terms apply to your use of this website and to orders placed through it. Placing an order means you accept them. Where you hold a trading account with us, our Terms and Conditions of Trade also apply, and they take precedence on credit, pricing and delivery.
Who can order
This site is for food businesses. You must be authorised to place orders for your business and to commit it to payment.
Your account
- Keep your login details confidential. You are responsible for orders placed under your login.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used without permission.
- We may suspend access where an account is overdue or being misused.
Pricing and availability
Produce is bought fresh at market, so prices move with the market and stock is not guaranteed. Prices shown are indicative until your order is confirmed and picked. Where an item is unavailable we substitute only with your agreement, or credit the line.
Orders and cut-offs
Orders placed before your run's cut-off are scheduled on the next delivery run. Changes after cut-off are accommodated where the run allows. See Ordering and delivery.
If something is not right
Produce is perishable, so claims are handled quickly. Tell us in writing, with supporting photos, within 24 hours of delivery. A text or an email is fine. We will organise a credit or a replacement, whichever you prefer. That is clause 11 of your account terms, and after 24 hours the goods are treated as accepted.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version published here when you order is the one that applies.
Privacy policy
Fresh Produce Purveyor Pty Ltd (ABN 50 621 059 827) handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Business and contact details: trading name, ABN, delivery address, contact names, phone and email.
- Order and account history, including invoices, credits and payment records.
- Site usage such as pages viewed and device type, collected through cookies.
Why we collect it
To take and deliver your orders, to invoice and collect payment, to assess credit applications, to provide support, and to tell you about range and service changes that affect your account.
Who we share it with
Only where it is needed to run the service: our delivery and warehouse team, our payment and accounting providers, credit reporting bodies where you apply for terms, and professional advisers. We do not sell personal information.
Storage and security
Records are held in Australia on access-controlled systems, kept for as long as the account needs them and then for the period tax and corporations law requires.
Overseas
We do not disclose personal information to recipients outside Australia unless you ask us to.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to see or correct what we hold, or make a privacy complaint, at accounts@melbfpp.com.au. We respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Produce claims and credits
Fresh produce is perishable, so we handle claims quickly rather than through a returns process. Check your delivery on arrival and raise anything that is not right the same day.
Reporting a problem
- Tell us in writing, with supporting photos, within 24 hours of delivery. A text or an email is fine, and after 24 hours the goods are treated as accepted.
- The photos are what let us settle a claim without a return trip, so send them with the first message.
- Have your invoice number, the item and the quantity affected ready.
What we credit
Produce that arrives damaged, short-supplied, out of spec, or below the quality we sell to. We will organise a credit or a replacement, whichever you prefer. A credit goes to your account and is applied against your next invoice.
What we cannot credit
- Produce reported after the 24 hours, or stored outside recommended conditions after delivery.
- Ordering errors on quantity or unit where the delivery matches the order placed.
- Normal variation in size, colour and ripeness within grade.
Collections
We may collect affected produce on the next run. Keep it chilled and set aside until then.
